I am wiring up the body harness connectors and I have a couple questions. Heres a quick run down of my car.

87' chassis that had a 7m-ge 5spd
1JZ engine swap and majority of parts were bought with the car, but nothing had been done.
All of the ECU plugs were present, but the body plugs were cut off.

I am using "Ricks place" as my main refrence. Seen here:

1.) The Black and orange wire noted here as 14 on the IH1 and 17 on B1. My problem is, there is no fat black and orange wire on the harness.

2) Maybe this is a typo, but the black and blue wire noted as 5 on IH1 and 7 on B1 is actually a spot below it in each connector. It is in the 10 on IH1 and 12 on B1.
There is no black and white wire in the middle. Should I connect the two black and blue wires?

3) Both 21 and 20 spaces are occupied on B1 connector from the NA, but they are not noted on the site.

4) I need to find which black with is the tach wire. Is there an easy way to find my tach wire? Or a spot i can test for conductance? Seen here as 4 on the M1 connector.

Its late, I wanted to make the post before I forgot my questions. Any help would be great :)

For the tach,It is the Black wire with silver dots

Depending if the car was Auto or manual, that Blue/Black wire is pinned different. I had a blue/black wire on my car as it is a 92 model. !JZ will have that same color. Not sure about yours. That is a power wire. That wire will go to the Fuse box ( 2F ) connector. Trace it back and wire it that way.

I had some strange wiring differences on my swap had to get out the ol meter and find what was what. in my car harness its black with orange stripe. on my 1jz swapped in an 89 my harness power from the motor was plain black. also what got me it was a smaller gauge wire...:icon_mad: i eventually said hey wheres my power to my ecu and sensors.... lemme put power to this black wire heh heh. Been driving it for a year now.

I believe when that black wire is powered you should get power to your fuse block like on the black with red stripe the wire that feeds the coils and other sensors.

Awsome! Thats a huge help.

I was looking at this swap, and 1/3 down the page it notes the 14 connector as simply being black.

Any spots I can test for this wire with a meter?

Yes it is correct. It is black as it comes out of the ignitor itself. You can do the continuity test on this wire from the ignitor plug to this plug end to end.

The wire going to the Tach ( Body side) is Black with silver dots. This is going to the instrument cluster so will be on the corresponding plug,.

Woot! I can't wait to get back to work on it tonight.

I think I had like 3 yellow wires with red stripes, but i don't remember. I'm sure I will post a couple more questions tonight :)
