Feel kind of stupid to post this thread but the search came up emtpy on what i wanted to know. I was wondering if anyone here is running a T67 dbb or a T71 dbb turbo on a 1jz with a ported head and cams. I'm mainly asking because I am coming up empty handed on compressor maps for either of these two turbos since I am very worried about surging with a T71. My aim is at least 600rwhp and i know a t67 dbb has done this on high boost. I was just curious if anyone has done a T71 dbb on a 1jz and if it surges. Thanks.

I haven't had any issues before. My car isn't on the road right now due to some engine work but by turbo is a .70 A/R and haven't had any problems in the past.

I'm running a 65mm turbo.. drives just fine.

If you want a solid 600whp without crazy boost, you'll need at least a 67mm. If you got the flow, get a GT4067R. If you dont, get a ITS GT67.

If you want to try and do it on pump gas, check out the PT72GTS

GT4067R is one of the most famous turbos to be ever put on a 2JZGTE. It works just as great on a 1JZGTE.
