it's not worth it, but thats only my opinion. It's not too hard but it's not just a bolt on thing.

full boost at 4k, might as well invest in single turbo instead...

2JZ turobs will bolt up to the 1JZ manifolds, but you will not be able to use any of the sequential equipment. Therefore, you will need to get a new rear(or it could be the front) exhaust housing (one that has a wastegate), as well as custom downpipes off of the turbos.

You MAY be able to modify the 2JZ maifolds to bolt onto the 1JZ head, IIRC I think I saw someone do it once. That way, you could retain all of the sequential equipment, but you would still need something to control it, like a standalone, or a 2JZ Map ECU.

2JZ manifolds are connected together as there is only one wastegate. If you want to run in true twin on the 1JZs separate manifolds, you would need to add a second wastegate, hence the need to replace the exhaust housing.

Alternatively, you could modify the 2JZ manifolds to fit (lots of work).

i can see that modifying the flange. but on a 2jz (c12b)the stock twins spool 4k to 4.2k the same twins on a 1jz with .5ltrs less exhaust to spool them up adds even more turbo lag so even changing our lighter composite blades to steel would have the same effect with the c12a.

Best thing to do is go single!

I remember when Perf0rmance on supraforums used CT12bs on his 1j and he reported spool times about the same... 4k

verry intresting

tell me if you blow 3 liters of air into a fan then using the same fan and the same rpms blow 2.5ltrs tell me which fan blows faster ? 17% less efficient 2jz would run the same.

that is like saying a 2jzgte with 1 less cylinder out of the 6 16% will run the turbos better or the same.

k 1.5JZ-GTE is 86 x 86 3.0ltrs so yes a 1.5JZ-GTE & 2JZ-GTE would be pretty much the same put larger valves & 2JZ-GTE or HKS 272 cams on it and the 1.5jz is the 2JZ roughly.

Sorry to im not picking on what you said or someone else said to you it just seemed fishy.
