1JZ Turbo Question??? whats the difference???

SupraHero set me his pair of turbos. I noticed a diference between the ones he had then i have.

On the Turbo inducer side in the housing where the outlet is to the Intercooler piping

There is a number. Both the turbos Suprahero sent me have a Number "3" in them. Both the turbos i have, there is a # "1" in them. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is about? Is it a different housing? or a revision of the turbos? somehow with slight improvments?

Obviously there were other diferences like the serial numbers to the actuators and the number put on the turbos. Other then the CT12A

Well mine have a "2" on it, I just checked.

i wonder what the deal is about the numbers

I wonder if it's slight revisions that Toyota did to the turbos like with the 7M head

I don't think there's any difference. I don't have proof of that though.

theres got to be a reason the number is there

maybe its just attached to the revision of motor. we all know there is the obvious two versions of the 1JZ, maybe there are other differences. Like with the 7M head.
