1jz temp questions

So I got my 1j swapped into my s13 and running great. The temp when warm is at 200-205 degrees. When Im at the track the most it has hit was 220 degrees. Is this normal? I replaced the thermostat with a OEM 2jz-gte and have a koyo radiator with 2 10''fans.

If this isnt normal then what would you recommend I do. Should I get a TRD thermostat?

Nothing to worry about. My car runs anywhere from 200-210 on the highway, and 220 was pretty normal when I was in Vegas or Phoenix, where the ambient air is a lot hotter than where I live. Been daily driving it for a year and a half now, no problems to report...

Yeah, these motors seem to run pretty hot regardless.. You could possibly benefit from an oil cooler though.

Oil cooler is a good idea, I need to get one myself... well, if the fan setup I bought doesn't cool it off better than the current setup anyway.
