Im having issues with my 1jz I just got swapped in. I did get a Code 13 randomly. it seems whenever I give it gas it wants to die or just bogs down. it will slowly climb up in rpms if I keep stabbing the gas pedal. check out the video to see.

Change them all. If the bottoms are round and there is a clear goo coming out there bad. Or if anything is burnt.

put two new caps in that were obviously leaking. response is waaay better but it still bogs down at times especially under load. same code 13. also how sensitive are the cam and crank signals on these motors???

You really want to change all of the caps.

Considering the cam and crank sensors are what tells the Ecu the engine position them and there circuits are vital.

Could have a bad sensor. Or could have bad caps or wiring.

If you have access to a scope you could check the signals of the sensors and there wiring up to the Ecu and would easily eliminate any guess work.

Timing could be off. I had a code 13 after my second JZ swap and the marks looked good but turned out the crankshaft was off by one tooth. The crankshaft rotates twice for every camshaft rotation so the crankshaft being off a tooth is not as obvious as camshaft being off one tooth.
My motor though was breaking up after about 2500 rpm.
