Filmed a run last nite, My boys stock twins 1jz, just open downpipe and front mount vs my other boys lexus sc400 gone stock.

The owner of the lexus kept talking about v8 this v8 that, well the stock 1j def proved it self.

Lets see here....where to start...

a 1JZ in stock form makes 280hp, where a stock SC400 will either make 250, 260, or 290 varying by year.

The SC400 weighs a couple hundred pounds more

Open downpipe and any form of upgraded intercooler will probably net a decent power gain. I'm not a 1JZ guy, but seems to be right.

That being said, what makes this a spectacular feat? From a roll a stock 7MGTE would hang with a 1UZ, big deal. Start at the line, if he hooks, you better pack a lunch.

Not trying to break balls here, but damn. Its like bragging that your Supra beat a Ford Escorts ass. :naughty:

From the line its even worse. He stands more of a chance from a highway roll than off the line. A few runs off camera from 50mph he hung with us for a lil bit. But off the line, even when he did hook and we spun its even in first then the same happen to him in the video when we get too second

oh yes they will be. we have actually a whole lot of runs, more of a video diary of a friends big single 2j in a sc400, all on a dvd just waiting to get my hands on it and create a movie out of it. we have the buildup, the dyno's the runs at the track, all the money we won from it, soon it will be up i promise that.

i agree, then if the 1uz was turbo, then we might have to put a scatter shield around it so that when it throws a rod it wont mess up the paint of the car next to it. :biglaugh:
