Hello,
I plan to go with the 2jzswap.com install kit for putting a 1jzgtte into my zenki 240sx with the r154 transmission.

I plan to do it all myself with the help of friends.
I had some questions. I will put letters aside them so it may be easier for you to answer instead of having to read through over and over. I appreciate any help or suggestions that you post..

a) Manic Tech Racing has some nice parts for the 1jzgtte. Is this a recommended vender? I happened to find it searching on google.

b) If I go with the 1jzgtte engine itself (without it's transmission since I'll be using the R154 nor its own ecu), should I just purchase an AEM standalone, optima battery, and 2jz wiring harness and hook everything up together along with the necessary gauges?

c) Will I need a 2jz wiring harness as well as a 240sx wiring harness?

Thank you very very much,

Rick

First off.. It's 1JZGTE, Toyota does not use the TT.

Second, that 2JZSWAP.com crap is a 1000000% ripoff. You can have a shop install your motor and wire it up for the price if you don't order it. That Install kit equals about $500 worth of parts and labor at any shop.

If you get a JDM 2JZGTE Aristo wire harness, it will plug and play to the 1JZGTE, and also plug and play to the AEM. The whole process itself isn't to hard. Putting the motor in is the easy part, the electrical part is VERY complicated to do right, and to make the OEM gauges work.

I highly reccomend MTR to actually do your whole swap. They've mastered the swap and have done more 1JZ/2JZ into 240's then I can count.

Also, if you use the R154, you'll need the JZ R154 bell housing. Driftmotion.com carrys them in the USA.
