i know the pans are the same on 2jzgte and 1jzgte but are the GE's front or rear sump? rear i would imagine so why would the pumps be different?
the 2jz-ge comes in both mid and front sump depending on what you got it from. i know that the jza80 has a rear sump.
Well, I have a mid sump 1j with in my car with the pickup and pan from a front sump 2jzge. the oil pump fit the same on both.
well mid sump and rear sump are the samething
so that means the 1J oil pump should work with no problem then....

Is mainly asking if the 1jz oil pump would fit on a ge..
I dont see why it wouldn't the 2jzgte oilpump is the same and a replacement off a 1jz oilpump correct? and the gte pump bolts to the ge block (countless built ge blocks around under gte heads)

1jzgte and 2jzgte pumps are the same. are you planning to put a used 1jz pump on a 2jz block? they are about $150 at the dealership with a discount, so it's best just to get a new one.

Yes it will work. That's exactly what I did. I swapped the 1J and 2J-GE pumps, pickups, with the pans. No issues. Changed it from Front sump to mid/rear.
