1jz oil pan sensor

if i am not mistaked the sensor on the 1jz oil pan is for low oil level, is this correct? I want to wire it up to an led. Also on the 1jz there is no oil pressure gauges, but a low oil pressure warning light.
has anyone incorporated these into their dashes? pics?
