Im doing a 1jz swap into my supra and Im planning on running the stock twins for now. I was wonder was the most HP has anyone got out of a 1jz with the stock twins. I have the following mods Custom 3" Ypipe and 3' exhaust no cat str8 back 2 a 3' catback exhaust and also I upgraded the intercooler to and 24" 12" 3" outlet/inlet with 2.75 hardpipes. What other supporting mods do you i'd need 2 get the most out of the 1jz with skock twins...

What the highest whp has anyone got out of an 1jz with the twins????:1zhelp:

When you say fuel you mean fuel fump and injectors. What do you think is the best fuel setup I was thinking 2jz 550 or the 440s. Which fuel pump do you recommend...

You need to look at fuel system, engine management, clutch, wheel/tire combo, cams with slight head work. so much you can do man.,

My goal is 500 whp and im on a budget but whatever i need i'll get 2 reach my goal. Not really for darg but I want it quick off the line and still have good power up top...

500 will not happen on stock twins without a healthy shot of nitrous, cams and a standalone.

I would say 350ish is the highest you can go on stock twins, and that is with cams and some tuning.

Nope, there was a couple guys makin 420ish on stock twins, they fall off big time though around 7k

Yep, there was one guy that made 422whp. He had an aem, 272 cams, 3" twins back, 550cc injectors, 22psi and a very good tune. IIRC, they lasted all of 1 month before eating themselves.

wat size cams would you suggest.

Would you be able 2 get around 450whp with a single upgraded ct26 with a 57 trim or a 60-1 with a set of cams and a nice tune. What u think ???

And I thought you could on get about 15psi from the twins before they f***ing up.....

I would just go single from the start, 57 trim or a 61mm turbo will be fine.

You can definitely do it with a T61. get ~.70AR if you can, works pretty darn good.
15psi on twins and 15psi on '61/57 trim is a big difference. more airflow, etc.

I think thats what im going to do... Do you think I can make 350whp with stock internals and fuel system with the stock ecu but with an big front mount and 3' full exhaust system....?

Wow, you need to read a lot more. Read everything you can about the 1jz and the basic setups, and then if you still have questions THEN ask them. This is like 1jz 101 here.

You'll best maybe 350 RWHP on the stock twins safely. I bested 327 RWHP on mine at 14 PSI. My mods were FMIC with 2.5" hard pipes, turbo-back 3" exhaust, CAI, JDM 2J 440's, machined USDM 2J cams, 1-piece aluminum driveshaft, Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR w/ fuel dampener bypass, and an Apexi SAFC NEO. For your goals, I'd get the Driftmotion 60-1 twin scroll .70 A/R turbo kit, the 3" DP, top-feed fuel rail, 680cc injectors, twin fuel pumps, an FPR (preferably something comparable to what I have), cams, and a standalone. This should give you around 500 RWHP. With this turbo kit Aaron at Driftmotion bested 527 RWHP at about 19 PSI.

AFR's are another question.. with 440's or 550's you could do this safely.

I DD'd mine at 18 psi for almost 2 yrs. Anything over and they turn into hair dryers.

340whp @ 16psi thats nice I can make that kind of power real easy then I know these motors can make big power. Im new to the JZ Game so I still have alot 2 learn. I also have 3" turbo backs and downpipe with a FMIC full piping.
