ok i've extended the harness where the plugs are, but i left about a good amount of space so i can twist and solder the wires together and well i was wondering if that was a good move or not...

Tissimo extends it kinda in the middle of where it goes along the firewall. that way the plug for the VSV is still in its stock location

Just don't "twist" the wires in a spiral or anything when packing them up with tape.. It adds more resistance and can hinder performance.

Best thing to do is when extending a harness, get an ohm meter, and check before and after on each extended wire from ecu plug to sensor plug. Its the only way to ensure no electrical problems. Doesn't take much longer to do and is worth its effort in gold.

yeah extend one wire at a time, bc a lot of the wires share the same colors.

ok i'll see but that wont be in till a few more weeks tho...just want to make sure it works and all that way...

thanks

will the ohm meter work even if i dont have it connected to the battery??? bc i still have the engine out... and all...

NEVER test resistance when there is current flowing through the wire. you'll likely blow a fuse in your meter. best time to test is now, since the harness is out of the car and there is no chance of battery voltage to flow through any wires.

the resistance of each wire should be around 0.1-0.3 ohms. it shouldn't surpass 1.0 ohm. personally, anything over .5 ohm and I'd start to worry.
