R154 box is easy to come by though. 1JZ bellhousing and flywheel i can get for £200

You're better off buying a 1JZ-GTE Supra clip for $2500. It will have the transmission and pretty much everything you should need. That's what I did (see cardomain profile in sig).

i just ordered my 1jz manual engine set. i was thinking about piecing it together, get an auto, r154, bellhousing, u still getting an auto wiring harness, an auto ecu. so i got my set for 1950 shipped. less hassle i think. good luck
