I know this has probably been discussed before but i'm not able to search. I finished my 1jz swap and just recently wore in the clutch so i thought i would get on it a lil and it starts cutting out around 4500 like its hitting fuel cut or something. My setup is a 1jz with a 60 trim ct26 as of now its at stock boost which is 7lbs on the ct 26 waste gate. I have SARD 540cc injectors, walbro pump, aem wideband, 3inch divorced downpipe full 3 inch exhaust, spec stage 3 clutch, ngk iridiums. I can't seem to find out why it is cutting out, it just starts losing power and it runs really rich during boost. I want to get it tuned but i don't know if this cutting out problem will be an issue. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds liek you are blowing out spark, either by running too rich under boost or you dont have your plugs gapped small enough. If you dont have your plugs at .28 they arent gapped small enough.

You're running waaaay too much fuel w/ those injectors and pump, causing them to wash out, and you have too much gap; Try a smaller gap. Like Ryan said, .028 is standard, I run .26 in mine w/ fuel pressure turned way down. Try switching to NGK 6097s and see how those run for ya. I've always heard iridiums run like shit in our engines, but have never personally tried them.

I have the same problem on a recent swap. My plugs are at .028 Any other suggestions? It's so close to being awesome....

I checked for boost leaks, new caps on the ECU.. idles well.. stock everything except for the intercooler.

Suggestions are appreciated.
