if your engine is apart, get a small block of wood (2x4) and wedge it between the block and a lobe on the crank. Then have some one stand on your engine stand, and get a breaker bar with a 3 foot cheater pipe. Good luck

If your engine is in the car, just use the starter to get it off, by wedging a long wrech against the ground and starting the car for like a milisecond, or you can put it in 4th or 3rd gear and get a long breaker bar, and make sure the e-break is up.

You still need to jam/keep the crnak from turning.

For a breaker bar, I've often used the handle from my floor jack (and the starter method). It's a two piece pipe which will fit over most rachets. I use one piece wich is around 2 feet long.

got it off. didn't have to take off the starter to jam ne thing. i just used a huge pipe wrench on the remainder of the pulley along with a piece of pipe and torqued the whole pulley the opposite direction while untightening the pulley bolt with a breaker bar and 7/8 socket and another piece of pipe on the breaker bar. it broke loose within seconds. Thanks for all the input
