Hi guys I'm new to the forum, I was searching thru and seen good information about the 1jz motor on the forum
So I thought to join up and ask a few questions.

I'm converting my 300ce Mercedes Benz m103 to the 1jz gte out of a jzx81 1991 cresta.
My question here is what wires is it that I need to hook up to get the engine started.
I have the complete engine and engine wiring harness.

All help will be much appreciated thanks

Are you anygood at reading and following a wiring diagram and ecu pinout?

Along with what hvyman said, the injectors and coil packs get 12v from an external relay that need keyed power. I can think of about 12 wires to locate to have it running. It would be nice to hook up the check engine light (which is ground at the ecu) and to find the T and TE1 wires for checking codes. Make sure the main relay is triggered by the ecu and that the iac is wired to this.

Thanks for the help much appreciated.

iirc there are 2 constant 12v supplys. look at the pinout and check the grounds, hopefully none are cut. Theres some that bolt to the intake, and others around.

I like to wire on a spare relay controlled via the key switch, the power for the injectors, and coils. Probably overkill, but I relay each system.

The mrel, or main relay powers up the ecu, and supplies harness power for 12v stuff like the IAC, the igniter, and O2 heaters. This relay is actually turned on by the ecu, iirc its called mrel, and the input is mrelB+. The reason this is like this, is to reset the IAC upon shut off. There is a slight delay on the power off to the harness.

So its keyed positive to ecu on the ign pin, and mrel coming out of the ecu turns on the mrel, which heads back to the mrelB+

Use the fuel pump control (I think its ground) to turn that on, it senses engine rpm and will shut off if the engine stalls.

Hook up the CEL and run the T and TE1 to a toggle so you can check for codes.

The harness are pretty self contained. Youll have to figure out guaging on your own, tho the wiring is in the harness if you can find it and splice it in. Maybe even install the Mercedes sensors so it all works like factory.

Awesome.

Yeah, as the other guys mentioned, M-REL, IGSW and +B / +B1 are required, including relays.

Without the proper M-REL setup, you may encounter two problems:
1) incorrect ISCV control.
2) ECU will feel like it's "learning" each time. The problem will be bigger (eg: settings aren't saved) if you intend to use an aftermarket ECU.
