Since 2j cams have to be reground to fit the 1j head, I assume that 1j cams don't fit in a 2j head. Plus, you don't want stock 1j cams in your 2j head.

1J cams dont fit on the 2J
Why not?

Last time I tried, they seem to fit fine.

2JZ cams don't fit in the 1JZ head because one of the journals is too narrow on the 1JZ head for the cam. This means a 2JZ head has a journal a little wider than the 1JZ cam, which would work fine.

they will fit, but isn't correct. Its like putting a STD size piston in a bored block, itll fit, but isn't right.

the first journal is what keeps the cam from walking forward and backward
