i was using a vented stock 1jz bov on my single setup and it leaked like crazy. i kept wondering where i had a boost leak and couldn't find it until one day i was driving and realized that it wasn't the sound of my turbo spooling at 2.5k but my bov leaking.

It's not supposed to be vented...

Why were you using a stock bypass valve on a single turbo setup? Where did you even put it? :icon_conf

i bought the car that way. the guy who owned the car before me wanted a cheap single setup for his gf so he had them put the stock bov on the hot pipe. that's why i changed my whole setup.

Sort of hard to see, it's a piece of metal screwed onto the hole in the pipe. That's it.

On the right, it came on my 1jz when I bought it. Mine came out of a chaser, i guess they either had a different BOV or they are everywhere overseas.
