1jz bad ticking

as it says 1jz bad ticking. i just put a 1jz into my 240sx everything went smoothly intill start up. i started it and it sounded great intill about 1min-2mins in, it start ticking really bad. timing and everything is perfect!!! it only does it as soon as it warms up... been doing alot of searching and alot of people have had this same noise and say its a bad bearing or bearings is this true ? owe i forgot to mention took off the valve covers and nothing looked outta place or odd and the compression was good any suggestions ???????

Where is the noise coming from? Front, back, top , bottom?

Could just as easily be an exhaust leak too. I have a couple leaks on mine that I'm aware of, but not terribly concerned about. Like Chip said though, we need a bit more info to help you out...
