1JZ.747 goes 10.55 et @ 130.2 MPH

Hi Guys

at the last sport compact meeting of the year the 1j powered cressida went 10.55 et at 130.2 mph with a crappy 1.65 sixty foot.

no quicker passes were recorded on the day due to the A340 gearbox slipping badly now its struggling with the power.

other passes for the day in qualifying were a 10.88 et at 125mph, and a 11.4 at 120mph after forgetting to turn up the boost.

this now extends the lead the car has as the fastest and quickest street tyred 1jzgte in australia from its previous best of 10.70. the nearest competitor is 11.2.

anything done to the auto or is it stock? also got a dyno sheet?

the gearbox is the same it has been for 3 years, same as it was in the zoom feature.

i have a dyno sheet but i dont have a scanner.

its making 494 rwhp at 25.7 psi. but gearbox has been slipping badly on the dyno for over a year. its now doing it at the track. its now time to take it out and have a look to see what the problem is.

it'll go 10.2xx with this engine with a none slipping gearbox. i would love to run a nine, but it would take slicks and weight reduction.
