Since I am going standalone with a 2JZ-GE block, and 1JZ-GTE head, I had to find a way to mount a trigger wheel onto the crank. Wow is all I can say. The machinist said he can make the adapter to hold ANY trigger wheel.
This is made for the Fluidampr pulley PN: 850802
The trigger wheel is a Ford EDIS-6 wheel off a 94-95 Explorer.
This bracket has adjustability through 120 degrees for maximum versatility for any trigger wheel, and uses the Fluidampr's 10mm (x3) bolt holes to mount. There is .004" clearance when it sits inside the crank pulley, so any off center placement is minimized. The trigger wheel bolts do screw all the way in
He said he can make more if anyone else is interested. PM for details.
Megasquirt users will appreciate this greatly, as this greatly simplifies where to mount the VR sensor. The 36-1 EDIS-6 wheel is the easiest timing pickup for the Megasquirt II. I can have a VR sensor bracket made too if there's enough interest, I'm going to make one myself for now.
Now I can finally finish my project!
