Sup fellas, I was looking at these engines some of u guys talk about the 1jz and the 2 jz. I understand the 1 is a 2.5 twin turbo and the 2 is a 3.0 twin turbo but wuts the horsepower on them and there ups and down. I'd like to know from people that personally own this amazing engine. I've got the old 7m gte and thinking about going to the 1j or the 2j.

:werd: its not the motors fault. it more of a mix of the high miles, and the moron who most likely drove it in the past before you bought it.

if you buy a solid car and/or take the time to do things right the 7m can hold its own fine.

take care of the 7m and she will trat you well. they are old cars dont expect them to run like a brand new car. they arn't!

I dare ya to go through the trouble of a 2j swap. Rebuild your 7m and make it bullit proof.

Do some researching and your soon learn what will suite your needs.

What is exactly wrong with your 7m?

Whats wrong? lol nothing yet. Its my responsability if something does go wrong. Which i plan on avoiding. I'm gonna make these MkIV a run for there money. Especially mustangs and cameros. Here in cali they think they rule. Well we'll c.

So, you think the only way to give Newer supras and camaro's a run for there money is 2JZ or 1JZ?

If you build a 7m right, it will cost less than a 2JZ and will be plentyful in term of power to take camaro's.
