im just wondering what it is going to take to put a 1j in my 88 supra, and is there a place that make a harness extension or do i have to just cut mine and make it longer, also i have an 88 as you guys know the 1j mounts wont work in the pre 89's right so in order to get everything to work i have to get the BIC adapter kit for the mounts or get the newer crossmember ?

yes i have an 88 and i have the BIC mounts and square mounts on my 1JZ right now worked beautifully.....

you can run the Wiring harness through speedo cable whole supposedly and all you have to do is wire up the body connectors.

thats what i was thinking of running it some where else and just mounting the ecu and running wires to the under dash harness, does anyone make a plug and play harness.

no one REALLY makes a plug n play harness

its not hard its only like 4 clips you'll have to extend

its not a little wiring, its actually alot but depending on your experience with wiring harnesses it maybe easy or it maybe a nightmare. i got a jumper harness made from DM (Aaron & Jose) When it came in it looks great.

if youre like me, just get it done. I spent 6 hours one day soldering a good 80-100 wires in a main wiring harness for my escort...of course i had to diagnose which ones i wanted to solder, not just lengthening. I can tell you now, i never want to solder that much EVER again. If youre lazy (like someone on the forum here i know) cut a new hole in the firewall and route it though there.

im thinking about doing it my self i have made the harness long on a few sr20's before i just dont know about the wire on the 1j and how many wires need to be longer. and that fun jazz.
