I just got my MAP sensor to finish my swap and installed it with my ssqv bov; also hooked up my boost gauge and noticed two things that were a little odd when she started.

1. rev'd a lil high.

2. the boost gauge said that I was at -20psi; so like 20 on vaccume.

what can I do to correct this??

Idled high or revv'ed high?

I have -23 vaccum at idle. Isn't it normal? why do you think it needs to be corrected?

you have a vacuum leak somewhere. that's a typical cause of a vacuum leak. start the car, let it run, and listen under the hood for and type of air leak, probably around the intake manifold near the vacuum lines. if it's not there check ALL your intercooler piping faseteners, but it should be post throttle body. and the vacuum thing is normal. the -20 is normal at idle. you don't have positive psi until you give it gas. let us know what you find.

Ok, here's what I got so far. I found two vaccume line off the intake manifold one that goes from between the valve covers and the intake manifold towards the firewall where it T's into this other vaccume line that is from the hard line on the back of the intake manifold. These to lines come together and go straight to this check valve and then to atmosphere. I know that's alot of imagination to put together but I'll throw up a picture shortly. Thanks for your help guys!

make sure your P/S vsv is hooked up, if you dont have one the vac line from before the TB should be capped off not connected to the rest of the system because it will allow extra air in and cause a higher than normal idle. ive seen it a few times where people just bypass it and connect the vac line from before the TB for the p/s to the one after but its like having a hole in your throttle plate

Very good point! I remember that plastic tip to the p/s line before the throttle body being broke off and unconnected. Will fix that issue. Do the pictures I have posted look correct as to how they are connected?
