Hey there.

I just rebuilt my 7m-gte engine about a week ago, due to it overheating.

I finally put everthing back just as it once was when it was running.

There were a couple issues such as vacuum leaks and faulty wiring.

When the car is in park it runs for a while then turns off. It turns back on with no problem it just wont stay on for long.

Basically my question is when the car is finally running when i put it in drive or reverse it just dies. What could be the possiblities?

Check the basics: Air, fuel, and spark. If all three are happening well enough, let us know.

Yes those things are happening well enough.

The car runs, just when I put the car in drive it dies.

does it stall out from load? or shut off like you turned the key off? try revving it a little when putting it in drive, not much and make sure your not in front or behind anything in case the car jumps a little.

Can you neutral drop it and see if it moves? Don't keep doing this either, just once or twice to see what it does. You could have a converter lockup problem.
