Supra Stock - a set on Flickr

Here is my supra, Just got it. Interior is about the best you will find on a supra (except the steering wheel and top of back seats).



Exterior leaves some to be desired, will be getting body work done by the end of the summer.

What I will be doing to this supra:



Speakers (previous owner kept them) <- any recomendations for sub enclosures?

Paint, black

Fix Trim on sides

FIX DUCT TAPE ON AIR FILTER

Recover steering wheel (not just put something on top, remove old leather)

Reupholster back seats

Fix front drivers door lock (works great, but missing the door keeping dust out)

Fix illumination warning light, right now the detector is just unplugged

Rid rims of brake dust (Any ideas?)

New muffler/exhaust system

What else do you think needs to be done?





This is my FIRST car so this work will be done slowly as I have little money (I am 16) I have loved supras for a long time and they are pretty rare in my area Lakeville MA, (south coast of boston).



The car may not be the best supra, but it is a great feeling driving around in it, looking as bad as the exterior does, and still turning heads.



One annoying thing however is:

Friend: "Really!!!?? What Year?

Me: 1988, mark 3

Friend: "oh..."

welcome! Put a new paint job on it, save up for a 7mgte, and you'll have a great supra!

Nice find. My first mkIII was na too.

That conerstion happened between me and a friend with a tt 6 speed mk4. He was like a mk3 isn't even a real supra and could never perfom like one. That why mine cost 30,000 more. Then we raced and he got the ass kicking of his lifetime......

I hate convos like that they all freak out and when i tell them its an 88 they act like its nothing and they look all sad and depressed.

The funny part is that it's still the fastest car in the school's parking lot (minus the rich kid's CL55 AMG :icon_evil)

and as for a 7mgte swap... I will never have enough money, as I would need to buy the engine and pay someone else to install it as I do not have the know how, If I ever want a turbo I will be forced to buy/trade for a turbo supra (I do want one but not in great condition and for sale in New England within my price range)
