1987 Supra tailight conversion

I was wondering if I can fit 1989-92 mk3 tail lights on my 1987 tail lights. I have searched and i cannot find a genuine source with an answer. I'm also wondering if there are any other tail light mods for the 1987 model. Thanks everyone

Yes they will fit. You have to swap the entire light section across the back.

Is it a direct bolt on or will I need some modification?

I have never done it personally but it "should" bolt right in. Not sure if the plugs for the tail lights are the same but I would assume they are.

they are almost direct fit, i had the modify the center panel of the chassis since there were additional studs on the 89+ tails that i needed to drill thru on the chassis, but other than that its a direct fit on

only two small holes need to be drilled, and the key lock bracket needs to be bent or swapped out.

aside from that, complete bolt-on, and plug and play..!
