I was just wondering if a 19x8.5 with 35 offset front and a 19x9.5 with a 35 offset will work on a 89 mk3 turbo and yes I did a search but all that came out was 17 ad 18 rim fitment

The only reason why asking this same question that everybody ask cause, I have 18x9 in the rear with 275/35/18 with a 35 offset aswell that's what got me confused the 19x9.5 which is .5 bigger, is still the same offset 35+ you would think that the offset would be a little higher like 38-40, or would the .5 difference go inwards toward the strut

If that the case 19x9.5 with 35+ offset won't work right, there was a guy on this forums that had those same wheels sport max the 5 spoke rim it's on a 90 red turbo.

If you have a 18" and a 19" with the same +35 offset the only difference is the diameter, so you would go with a 30 series tire on the 19" to make the overall diameter like the 18" with a 35 series. A 275/35/18 is the same exact diameter as a 275/30/19, so it will fit for sure. You could even fit a 19x10 with a +35 offset and a 275/30/19 in the rear. Offset is measured from the center so if you add .5" of width to the wheel then it would be .25" wider on the inside and the outside if the offset is the same.

This link has lots of different tire dimensions:

catback: Needs more lowering!
Tuck the tread of those tires up front, and maybe flush with the tread out back for a little stance, and that thing would look amazing!

They will fit. I have 19/8.5 with 35 offset on the front and 19/10 with 38 offset on the rear. I have 265 out back as any larger might rub the arch but i have lowered the car on coilovers.
