I picked up some used 17 inch rota wheels for my supra and i was wondering whats the widest tire i can run on the back with out having fitment issues.

Id like to fit some 315 35 17s on the rear.

Thats what i have on my SS and i love the look.

Any of you guys run this size tire?

Edit* the car has eibach springs

315's are some really wide tires on a MK3 application.. I dont think that you'd bea able to fit something like that without flaring the fenders? Also what kinda offset are you thinking about?

Im not sure the offset,

to measure that, i find the midpoint of the rim and measuse how far from the outer lip to the inside of where the lugs go , and the difference is the +/- offset ?

Whats the widest tire you guys think would fit?

if i'm not mistaken the widest rota wheel is only 8.5 inches wide. that's a 255...maybe you can squeeze a 275 on there but it's pushing it.

^ yea I doubt rota makes anythin under a 18" wheel that could fit 315's

rota's are junk imo
they are knock off kings

I dont understand how people can give you advice when you havent given us any information. If you have a 7 inch wide rim how the hell are you going to fit 285's? You might want to look into offsets as well...they kinda affect things.
