16" electric fan with mechanical shroud?

Hi all,

Will a 16" zirgo electric fan, fitted with a good condition mechanical fan shroud effectively draw heat out of the radiator? The Zirgo fan is the 3600CFM model.

I've already built it, but I'm having my doubts now if the shroud will work. The fan is offset about 10mm from the radiator with rubber mounts.

I also have the two aux fans that are attached and will be wired for backups.

the problem is surface area.

the 2nd issue is that those 3600 cfm are at 0 pressure drop.. no such animal when you put a radiator on it. Leave the mechanical on, if it is broke, purchase clutch and stick with mechanical.

Figgie, do you happen to know the CFM of the stock fan setup in good condition? I've always been curious.
