Does anyone know of some inexpensive 15" wheels that clear the front brakes? Preferably something like OEM wheels that I could find used from whatever make of car. I was thinking about giving 15" 94+ Mustang alloys a try because I would think they would also have decent sized brakes? Thanks.

Only ones I know of that work are skinnies as they don't end up actually going around the brake caliper. Why are you asking?

So you're wanting something wide but small? Most 16 inch wheels are close to the caliper, 15 inch wheels won't clear period. Plus I have no idea why you'd want a shorter tire...

Well you can get a 225 45 15, this would lower the car an inch and gear it down something like 9%. I'm trying to make this car fast for the least money possible for autocross. It's a common trick to use very short wide tires for a number of advantages.

Just stay in a gear that you're over 3K RPM and you'll have plenty of torque. Like I said, it's not a honda that you have to rev the nuts off of...
