12v mod, few people do it

Hi, I have the 12v mod done to my car and im running an mk4 FP, 550's and a lex afm. I'm wondering if the 12v mod is too much. I see a lot of supra guy's engine bays still with the resistor pack and relay. To what extent of modifications should this mod be done?

im running it cause its alot easier to tune the car

I did mine because I had problems when it switched from 9v to 12v when I pulled out from a stop. But I do still have the resister pack there, I just cut a plug from another resistor pack, so I could unplug & go back to stock if needed.
