Anyone tried this "marlincrawler" poly bushing in their MKIII? and do we order the application for "All other 4WD applications" ? I dont have any bushings in mine... that explains the vibrating shifter...

I've just ordered one. According to the celicasupra site the 4x4 would fit since they also have the w58 tranny. Will post result when I get it installed.

I have the sogi short shifter mod on my 87 NA, but I never used the "green Bushing." what are the advantages/disadvantages to using the bushing? and does any one have a picture of the bushing? I have no clue what it even looks like.

It doesn't cost that much money. I bought 2 of them with the other bushings at the same time for a friend doind the sogi mod also. It cost like $40 for all of them. So less then $15 for the green bushing. Which i think is worth every penny.

ok pro's I have a question about this uprgrade. I purchased one of these and it reallyyyyyy made a difference. It shifts silky smooth. Oh bye the way I have an 87 na. Now the question. After I installed this my shifts into 2nd and 4th seem like the shifter is not going back as far into these gears as it did before the upgrade. Im trying to pull back as hard as I can to make sure it goes into these 2 gears. As anyone else had this experience? Also I used the method that their site demonstrates and It was no where near that easy to get it in. I had to take a plastic tool and hammer it down into place. Its weird that 1rst, 3rd and 5th are all normal and the shifter is silky smooth other than that. Thanks for the help!

did you remove the stock bushing first?

There is a black bushing, almost looks like the bottom of the green bushing, but with out the green. That needs to be removed first. If not, the shifter is to tight. I didn't remove the bushing the first time and didn't like the feeling, so just peeled the green bushing into two peices and just used the green part. I did the same mod on a friends a day later and noticed that bushing. After removing the first bushing and using the whole green bushing it felt fine.

I did this recently as well.. mine shifts just fine.. 2nd is little tough to get into some times.. but that was that way before I did this mod.. mine is 87 Turbo. Also, the bushing was not easy to install.. did you replace the plastic bushing at the bottom of the shifter stick?

yes I did replace that as well. I have the short shifter mod too, but I can imagine that being the problem as it was not b4 I did this uprgrade.
