I Have A '91 Supra Turbo And Took It To The Track Last Night For The First Time. I Ran It Twice In A 1/8 Mile And Ran A 10.03 And A 9.95 At 76 Miles An Hour. I Was Wondering If Anyone Knew What That Would Be Equivalent To In A 1/4 Mile. My Car Is Running To Rich Right Now, And Its An Automatic. I Met A Guy There That Is Going To Show Me How To Use My Apexi Safcii. When I Had It Installed They Didnt Show Me How To Use It. Thanks

What was your sixty foot time and what are your mods?

I ran a 15.0 at 94 mph with a 2.362 sixty foot in a quarter mile. My 1/8 mile was a 9.7 at 74.3 mph. I ran with a crappey set of used tires that i bought for like $40 each. I need some better tires to lower my sixty foot, plus my car was stock.

My 60' Was 2.519 And It Wasnt My Tires Fault Because I Never Squeeled A Tire. I Have A Hks Intake , Hks Downpipe With 3" Exhaust. I Have A Boost Control, And A Apexi Safcii But I Do Not Know How To Operate It Yet And I Think Thats Why My Times Were So Bad.

Those 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile time conversions are useless when it comes to our cars, because we are top heavy cars... My car ran an 8.5 at 85mph with a 1.8 60 foot... But I will guarantee you I'd run alot faster than a 14 second quarter... Those conversion are good for NA cars, that make a constant amount of power, as opposed to a turbo'd car that spikes its power and pulls harder up top...

As for your SAFC, dont tune it yourself unless you KNOW what you're doing... Save your money, take your car to a qualified tuner, have him throw your car on a dyno and tune it properly... And if you are still running a stock fuel system, then I doubt you're running rich... Especially if you've up'd your boost level... How are you defeating fuel cut? As a matter of fact, let the dyno tell you what your car is running as far as air/fuel ratio... YOU might think you're running rich, the wideband might tell you otherwise... If you have nothing to monitor your a/f ratio and/or your exhaust temps, and you go screwin with that SAFC, you could put a serious hurtin on your engine... Dont do it, that's my advice, but you do what you want... Im just warning you, so you are aware of what your options are...

Good luck,
Jake

i think on my 14.2 run at 98mph, i had a 2.2 60ft, i think my 1/8th mile time was 9.2 or 9.3, somewhere around there

Thanks for the compliment...

As for your SAFC, it's a set and forget tool... Once your tuner has set your parimeters, leave it alone... Dont mess with it... THe only time you should need to mess with it is when you are adding mods, like more fuel or more boost...

I have a slip with

60' 2.543
1/8 9.945
mph 75.24
1/4 15.009
mph 100.50

That's probably as close as you can get. I assume you would have done a really high 14 since your mph was slightly higher.

thanks for all the information on the 1/4 mile times. I apparently need to do some more upgrades to my car so i can run around 12 or 13's. I dont guess it really matters what times your turning as long as you like your ride. I need to have my safcii set once more and maybe it'll help because there were some guys at the track that looked at it and said i was running 7% over stock with my fuel and they said that was too much. My car does overload with fuel every now and then and will just quit when i pull into my house. Again thanks for the help and info. Love the MK III's
