1.5JZ Timing Belt?

Yeah, the 2j block is about 2 inches taller than the 1j block, so they are not interchangeable. If you have a 1.5jz though, the 2j belt should work since your using a 2j block.

2 inches taller? Wouldn't that mean the 2JZ stroke is 4" more than the 1JZ? I dunno but 173mm seems awful large, in fact that would make the 2JZ a 6 liter motor. The block height difference equates to half the stroke difference, making it (86mm - 71.5mm) / 2 = 7.25mm taller.

I'm wasn't doubting you, just asking.

I looked it up - the pistons are the same, and the rods are the same in all ways -except- length. So they use the same bearings and fasteners but are in fact longer on the 2JZ. So the difference of 1" makes more sense then.
