    How do you tell what year the engine is???

    Okay...I tried to do a search under "engine identification"...I was unsuccessful I have an '88 was told the motor was replaced. Problem is it has a case of rod-knock. I have an extra motor I got from another guy...but he is not sure what year it is, he thinks it is from a '91. So if anyone knows...
