We have found a much cheaper solution to this problem, a module that will turn the fuel pump off when the RPM signal from the igniter is lost. If you guys are interested let me know they are about $50.

On the engine harnesses you typically have two power circuits, normally you will keep them separated. One powers the ECU and a number of things on the engine like the VSVs and whatnot, as well as the fuel pump. The other powers the injectors, coil, etc.
