hmm, not sure. look at the posts in the FS thread. I think in the left side of my posts there is an iTrader icon that can be clicked to add comments. Let me know what you find out. Thanks for the kind words. I try to do my best.
Hey guys,
I am in need of some help here. I need to know if my custom 1jz manifold (made for my 240sx) will fit well in a MKIII Chassis. So, if you have or are working on this swap with the motor in the car, and wouldnt mind helping me out, I'd love to come by and see if it all fits well...
uh.........where am i on the list guys?!?! if you need more backup sorry, this is all i have. if you feel it is not enough information, that too is fine. thanks,
brett
yes sir, very well put. stock ECU goes bye-bye.
that being said, would you all go for EMS's 6860 or the Stinger 4424? i ask because i know the 6860 has 6 ignition outputs.
would this eliminate teh use or need of the HKS DLI-type unit? if so, how? any thoughts are appreciated...
here is my sheet:
MODS:
1993 Nissan 240sx Coupe
1jz w/r154
440cc injectors
-6 feed and return
GT4082 .86a/r
Crower 264 cams
S-AFC
Aeromotive AFPR
Dual Walbro's
RPS Max 6-puck
and so on...
this was done on 11psi
thanks,
brett
it's been awhile and i appreciate the input thus far. i am leaning toward the stinger unit and if i come across a good deal in the near future, i will take it down! i dont have the cash not for the full deal, so i will keep my boost down and all that until later in the year. thanks!
any...
i have been going back and forth for my 1jz build. maybe you all can help me. i am teedering on standalone vs. higher-end piggy back. stinger 4484 standalone has caught my eye and so has emanage blue. i have read good things about MAP ECU & 2. so here goes...
set-up:
GT4082 .86a/r
SAFC...
anyone know what the PN on one of these is for? i have a MKIII 1jz-GTE JZA70 Supra motor. i have a lead on one and need to match part numbers.
here is what i have: 414-AT011
i'd like to get pics of it as well so i can verify it will work appropriately. thanks guys,
brett
thanks guys. i did get it running on all 6cyl, but only by doing the splicing like rob had mentioned. it runs well now, but has a coolant leak - poop...on the driverside near the back of the block (i'll figure it out).
i am getting spark on all 6, just two injectors not spraying (2&6). it...
the noid light: two of the injector plugs do not light up while cranking/running
i have not listened to the injectors recently...i do believe i have spark on those two (did a few weeks ago), though i will verify this evening. i did try and listen to them last time i was diagnosing...
so, you are saying that i can just splice into the signal wires on 2 of the four that are working and this should resolve my issue, no?
is there a way to help prevent the system from burning that driver out? use smaller wires, etc.??? just to help with longevity...though a year and a half...
yeah thats what i figured, but i'd rather get them running the way they are supposed to be instead of forking money out for another ecu...especially if i end up running the stinger unit.
any other things to explore?
thanks rob
ok so here is where i now stand.
i tried the whole light bulb thing and it did not light up.
when you say "signal" at the ECU, what do you mean? there is about 9V on the ecu pins themselves. there is 12V on the plug of the ECU for the respective wires as well.
i used a noid light...
thanks guys...i'll get to it in a few days. i appreciate the input thus far.
as for the resistor pack i had MKIV 550's. i used a 7m resistor (which now i am thinking was at fault). wired properly but still no fuel.
thanks again,
brett
some background here:
1jz in a 240sx
wiring was done in house
had resistor pack on car and wouldnt run at all (no fuel somehow & yes it was wired properly)
removed resistor pack and here is where we stand....
so...its been quite a while now and finally got it running a lot better...
updates? i too am having similar issues (1jz in 240) but think its fuel related. car runs, but only on 2 cylinders...as in it actually starts up and idles somewhat (blub blub sound)
- fuel pump has 12V mod and i am getting about 40psi of fuel pressure
- 4 injectors are not firing (at...
Mcmaster-Carr also sells pipe bends. we have used these on several applications for tight bends off the compressor housing. they are defined as "butt-weld fittings". you can get them in Schedule 10 which mates up well to most turbo outlets. going to need it to be aluminum as well.
they...
