Probably a scrap metal thief. None of the people I know knew where the transmission was. It needed a rebuild, so it probably wouldn't be a good one to use. I sent pictures of it to the local scrap yards. In CA you cannot receive more than $20 cash for scrap metal. They mail you a check or you...
So sometime last night my R154 was stolen from the Rancho Cordova area. It was a complete unit with mount, bellhousing and rear wheel speed sensor/pigtail still attached. The tranny itself was dirty and the inside of the bellhousing has a lot of caked on oil. I know it may be a needle in a hay...
I also started stripping and painting stuff.

So I took a couple weekends off. It was hot here in town and I decided to spend some time up in the mountains and be lazy. Here are some progress pics:

Looks clean man. How have you been cleaning up the bolts? just sandpaper? have you tried any solvent or wire wheel? and is your exhaust coated or high temp paint?
So, as it sits now, the block is all torn down and waiting to go in the hot tank (Have to do it over the weekend after business hours).
My plans are:
Wiseco Pistons
Eagle Rods
Full flow oil system
Billet 58 Trim Turbo
550 Injectors
Lexus AFM
Marlin Rebuilt R154
this looks nasty, maybe rear main? either way it's headed to Marlin Crawler:

Okay so, I've been a lurker on here for a while, but I've been into the mk3 supra since high school. Back in '07 I had a good paying job as a drafter with a construction company and I finally bought a black 91 turbo:

You may not need a steel girder. Depending on roof dead loads, snow loads, and whatever else yor local jurisdiction requires you may be able to get away with a glulam or paralam beam. Check with an enginer first.
Safe =/= Cheap (Not always at least) lol. It looks like the column was added after the fact to your garage. If it is concreted in the slab in any way, then I would say that it's probably a bearing column. Removing that is expensive, and requires permitting, engineering calcs. etc. If not, and...
^^^ So true. One of the most difficult things I did was letting my supra sit in the garage for 2 years while I finished College. I had a Tacoma 4x4 as a DD but now that I have the disposable income to spend on a car, its a lot more enjoyable. NEVER finance your fun
Titan said that their bearings are ACLs, but they are coated so that they are more comparable to the ACL Race bearings. I called them and that's what they said.
I own a 500a persuader. Its a good shotgun, but hindsight being 20/20, I should have saved up for an 870, they're much more solid, all around better guns
