    I just found that when I first drove it, the shifter was vague enough I had to hunt for the gears a bit, and the throws were waaaaaay long, where with the new one there is no second guessing. Maybe I just wasn't used to the car, but my clutch foot was waiting for my hand at first.

    Wow, I drove his 92 with the NM shifter instlled, is it ever slick. We're talking like, 2" throw here. It takes a minute or two to get used to, but once you do it's rad. Clutch work will now be the limiting factor to your shift speed for sure.

    Great link, Dirgle! Thanks for that one. Thanks for the welcome too folks. There's an 87 near me with 149,000 kms, targa, leather, 8/10 exterior and supposedly a full service history for less than $5k CDN. If I can make the SC2 disappear soon, this may be the new ride. Anybody want a Saturn? :p
