Hi all, I recently picked up and 89+ rear subframe from a JDM parts place to replace the cracked one in my 88. As I was about to put it up into the car today I noticed a slight difference at the 2 rearmost mounting points. I have solid subframe bushings and as I went to put them on, I realized...
Shit. Didn't even think about them being grounded... but the bracket was not bolted to anything since the swap and I never had a problem.
I guess ill try to put the stick switch back in and see what happens... didn't wanna have to butler the coolant for the 7th time..

NEW PROBLEM GUYS!
I got the new thermostatic switch, it threaded into the stock location and removed the stock temp sensor for the dash.
I wired it in correctly and its working wonderfully. Car is running 180 190 and didnt see above 200 when i was beating on it! Thanks for that!
I wired the...
So, i am safe to install the temp sensor for the fans in the stock location using an adapter?
What size and thread is the stock hole in the water neck?
Jumped out the fans and took it for a ride. It stayed about 190 while driving and when stopped at lights went to about 180. I guess that was my problem!
So, which thermostatic switch would you recommend?
And is like to delete the stock gauge and install the probe there. What size is the stock...
That's the part we miscommunicated about. Okay. I figured that will be much better.

This?
I don't understand what you mean by a thermostatic switch. Is the probe unit not a thermostatic switch? It is designed to turn on at 180* apparently (but can be adjusted for higher temps)
Do you have a link to what it is that you're talking about so I can better understand? As far as I knew...
What can i do to fix this problem? Is there one i can plumb in??
Heres where it was
And this is it pulled out
I didnt purchase it, a shop did, but i believe this is it

Where should the probe from my e fans be installed? They cycle for about 5 seconds. I just realized. even with the car hot as hell. could the probe be installed in a spot where cool air is getting pulled passed it and shutting it off??
The thermostat is quite new. Dont remember exactly when i changed it, but im going to change it again...
Toyota Pink, sorry. The 50/50 pre-diluted stuff.
Im going to swap the thermostat once i get a chance and go from there. After I do the thermostat, ill hardwire the fans.
Thanks for all...
IJ, I understand and agree. But there has to be a greater problem than just the undertray missing.
I'm going to wire my fans to constant power and see what happens, if that fixes it, then maybe I just need to rewire and re-adjust the control box.
The water that was coming out when I flushed...
Will a clutch fan fit on a 2J in an mkiii?? It doesnt seem like id have enough clearance...

Im not sure of what type of probe it is, but the fans do not shut off until the car cools down to around 180 i...
