Figured it out.
Release bearing split clean in two. Looks like the clutch was slipping like mad too. The disc is wore down to the rivets and cracking.
I was really hoping it would have lasted longer.
Thanks for all the input guys,
Dustin
Yeah, its topped off, however I did notice that one of the nuts that hold it on was missing. It kinda lets it wig-wag out to the side when the pedal is pressed. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'll check a little more when it cools off some. Its too hot to even touch right now.
I don't know that the alignment could be off, its been on the car for around 2 years with no problems so far. But i'll definatley check the fork.
Anything specific i should look for when i pop the inspection plates off?
So I just encountered a problem that I haven't run into before...
I took off fairly quickly from a light and ran up though the gears, but when I went to put it in third, the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. When i was able to get it off the floor, it popped back up and could not be pressed...
hmm..
so you think that i'd be able to just buy any old T4 exhaust housing and swap it out? The trim still matters though when buying the housing doesnt it? P vs Q or whatnot. And i see them listed from 52trim up to 80 trim.
Hey guys,
I've searched here and supraforums but cant find exactly what i'm looking for. I've even tried emailing sound performance but they never replied.
anyway, I'm hoping its possible to swap the exhaust housing on the bolt on sp61gt to a standard t4 flange. Or just hoping that...
I could be wrong, but I thought if you heated PVC it released chlorine gas.
Also, doesnt chlorine corrode aluminum? or is it ammonia that corrodes aluminum?
oh well.. just throwing it out there.
