Told ya'll progress would be slow. Work is sapping a lot of my motivation. 1st time I've had a fuel pump and fuel tank installed in the Supra in about 2 1/2 years. Flipping the fuel pump gave me some fits. Gotta get some AN fittings to make it all work.
A little progress today. Got the gas tank painted, trimmed the vertical center console piece and removed the vinyl wrap. I forgot about how the console was shaped so I am going to have to use the stock console as my template. I will need to construct it out of several pieces more than planned...
Gas tank return line fitting JB Welded seal up any micro holes my welding missed. Once cured the tank will be sanded to smooth out imperfections in the JB Weld then painted semi-flat black.
Mock hinge built from an old motorcycle fairing (same ABS plastic and roughly the same thickness). Added...
This is a setup I got from my buddy that was in an un-driven project. I am sure I will have to do some modification once I go to put my exhaust back on. I do plan on building a skid plate for the rear though.
Also, I only have a 3" exhaust so that helps.
It could have been late 2007... To be fair this Supra was a rolling shell in March 2007, I drove it home from Camp Pendleton to Portland in October 2007.
A little progress tonight. No real work other than fine tuning the center console design. Changed up the opening points due to figuring out how to weld plastic better (reinforcing, stitch welding). It will be utilizing piano hinges that are welded in flush with the exterior of the panel with...
A small to-do list. This is only for the current stage in the project. Still need massive metal work in the engine bay, dyno mat the entire interior, upgrade the wheels, rear BBK, etc...
Made my 1st actual progress today. Got my Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump with 30 and 70 micron filters installed along with the feed line. I discovered the return line fitting wasn't attached correctly so I borrowed my buddy's MIG welder and secured it to the side of the tank. I still need to add a...
Did some more re-working. Gonna trim the vertical center console so that the shifter boot frame is integrated into the center console pictured.<br>

Soooo, it's been 27 months since I last touched my Supra. Life threw me a major curve ball that changed my world and I started being much more responsible (after a bout of going nuts that included buying a sport bike). Started working on the Supra again tonight, starting with a 90 minute...
Gas tank and fuel pumps removed, got the sanding done on the pillar covers and started on the lower dash panel before my shoulder called mercy. Switch panel has the front covered and now the lower hole is getting covered. Nothing a little ABS plastic, Gorilla glue and a clamp can't take care of ;)
