I sold my car 7 months ago, and from time to time I miss it, but I'm glad I did. I was offered a lot of money for my car back in '08 and passed on it because I was attached, but I should have taken it, I could have had $2k more in the pocket.
There are only so many people that can afford to...
I had ARZ front and back brakes, and I've never driven (er, stopped) with anything else like them. Without a question, they were the best mod on my car
could you make more power? Well, of course you could have, but to do so you would have to factor in a ton of things that you can't see right now. You would have had to spend a lot more money (A LOT) to do it the right way, or if you did it the cheap way, you wouldn't enjoy it as much because it...
Jay, you're only saying that because deep down inside, you know that the Tide is going to lose to the men of Tennessee! LOL! No worries my friend, we will always be friends well beyond any cars we might own. Well, that Tide infection you have might cause problems down the line, but Im sure we...
Thanks, and you're right in many different ways. Got the money I had hoped for, sure, but I also had a blast with the car both driving it and building it with my kids as well. I'm also tickled that I took a decent MK3 and made it into something that reflects well on reflects well on the entire...
this was my second build, but by far the most extensive. After my youngest son moves out in about 3 years, I will take on another project. Right now Im torn between Factory Five's MK4 roadster (A/C Cobra) and GTM. I'm leaning towards the Cobra, I've always loved them and my wife likes it too.
My car sold last night and after talking to the buyer, it' a done deal. It's been a bitter-sweet couple of days.
I've had a ton of fun building the car, along with a bit of pain too. While I didn't completely want to sell the car, it was just time. It has served its purpose so now its time to...
And you drive 45 miles each way four times a week (1440 miles/mo) with faulty brakes and steering, all the while worried more about your personal comfort with the lack of the A/C instead safety of others on the road.
I hate dickheads that don't use punctuation and their spelling sucks they just use run on sentences I cant keep up with what the fuck they are saying plus they spell like they type if you do it fuck you I hate you
okay, this is proof that knowledge does have a price. Or should I say a lack of knowledge will cost you. I found the root of the problem, the PVC system. falling on my sword, I will admit mine is all jacked up. I wasn't getting a positive vacuum on the system to evacuate the positive crank case...
Time to have the turbo rebuilt. It's not smoking when shifting, but while in boost. I pulled the intake and found some shaft play. Im relieved actually, I wasn't looking forward to tearing the head off again.
Oh, and the drip wasn't from the motor, it was from the oil cooler. Another easy...
10W30, nothing special.
Im pulling the intake and looking in the downpipe tomorrow and investigate is a bit. Im hoping that the turbo is the culprit, its a lot easier. Regardless, It's getting fixed, I cant stand it
I'm positive the front main is installed correctly. Oil pan too. I didn't the put the valve seals in, the machine shop did so anything is possible. Guess I will need to look into replacing them a 3rd time :-/. I will look at the turbo oil seal, but it only seems to smoke when shifting (vacuum)...
My 1.5JZ was "recently" installed. 2 1/2 years ago, but I've only driven it 3k miles due to a year long deployment. It was completely rebuilt, broken in well and it has great compression numbers across all cylinders. Everything was brand new when the motor went in. Turbo, oil pump...
