so, I'm in the middle of changing my head gasket and I forgot to take the stud washers out of the head before dropping it off at the local machine shop. well, they lost about half of them and I need either a new set, or six individual ones. I can not afford to purchase a new set of head studs...
ok, so I was going to replace the head gasket this weekend, but last night as I was driving home I noticed the smell of gas. I popped the hood with the car running and gas was spilling out from somewhere on the intake side of the cylinder head. I'm not talking about a small leak, it was gushing...
well, the weird thing is that when it happens, the engine isn't overheated it's at normal running temp. I know the gasket is a big problem, and I'll be fixing it soon, I just wanted to know if this is a problem associated with it or if I need to fix something else while I'm in there.
