Thankfully I found my old NA harness and yep, the M1 connector fits. The problem is the connector on my engine harness it's from 89' so it won't fit into my 91' female connector. Now I gotta cut the NA male connector and repin the engine harness connector to it so they'll connect up. I don't...
Shoot I sold my NA harness a year ago there's no way for me to check it. Can you look at your plug and compare it to my picture you should be able to tell the size difference. I don't know the first thing about wiring so I may be screwed for awhile until i can find the right plug to switch it...
Thanks for the help yea I changed switched the tach with a turbo tachometer so it should be fine but the issue is those two plugs won't fit. If that's really the M1 plug then clearly it is responsible for my gauge issues but it just won't connect to that female end it's too small. From looking...
The car is running thanks for your help but I have an issue-the gauge cluster does not work only the volt meter on it works. I assume it's because of these two plugs because the lights in the gauge work fine! They don't fit eachother though I'm completely baffled since they're the same year...
Hi there I can't for the life of me find out what this plug is for or where it connects to. I've searched google and this place but I have no idea what this plug is called. It's a 91 automatic wiring harness I'm putting into my original NA 91 supra but swapping for a 7mgte. Does anyone know what...
I'm replacing the throwout bearing on the w58 tranny and am having problems attaching it to the clutch fork. The dang TSRM picture is really vague and doesn't show how the clip attaches to the fork.
Here's a picture:
I'm having a hard time understanding how the clip fits into the fork...
So i've searched around on the forum and on google and I can't find any help on installing an oil filter adapter. I bought a godspeed 19 row oil cooler for my 7gte swap and now that I've found a nice placement I'm trying to figure out how to install the damn filter relocation kit that came with...
You don't need to switch the body harness or anything if you have a 91 turbo. Everything is set just change your ecu and engine harness along with tranny i believe..
I'm not sure about me doing the wiring I'm defintely not a tech as I said but that's why I'm trying to just buy a harness. One question, will an 89 ECU work with a 91 harness? Any problems with that? Or does the ECU and Harness have to be the same year?
Thanks for the replies yea i called up my toyota dealer and this is what he showed me-

I need to pick which part number the engine wiring harness is but i don't know what the heck this picture means to be honest.
That's where the problem lies, my NA supra would give me an NA harness, I need a turbo 91 harness. I called him up and that's what he gave me, that link to the picture and asked me I need to find out which one to buy...

Doing a 7mgte swap into my NA and I need to know if an 89 ecu/harness will work with a 91 chassis. I've read that 89 is a shift year as far as electral system goes so will an 89 work on a 91 or do I need my exact year engine wiring harness.
