lol I'd like to think that carbon/fiberglass work is enough! I have a friend that works with plexi/lexan though and claims its not so hard. I might have to check it out!
Ya I figured if I built a wide body, it would have to be fiberglass but offered in CF if anyone wanted it. As far as doors go though, It would be tough to build a full funtion door without spending some serious dough. That being said, Who wants to start a GB ;)
Cool! Im building some raised cowl hoods as a group buy that you can see here. A few of the guys were asking about headlight covers and tops (Targa and sunroof) and I would like to see what other interest is out there for those parts and others. I would LOVE to build a full wide body kit from...
A deadline has been set! If you want a hood for $700 + shipping, you will need to have your order in paid in full by February 15, 2011. If you would like to wait to get one (and see how they turn out) you will have to pay $850 + shipping. These hoods will be a very nice addition to anyone's...

I saw a post in the official thread that asked about me posting samples. Im going to get to finding some good pictures now and they should be up before the day is over. I'll get with kenny to...
Ya whatever you want :) I'm ordering in material specific for this project. I have some 2x2 twill in stock but the roll isnt wide enough to cover the whole hood. Anything I use will have to be 60" wide. I'll get some samples of different weaves and options and you all can have your pic at what...
Those look good, and no problem to build.
Hood thread looks good! Now get your stuff together guys and lets get this ball rollin! BTW, Merry Christmas!
I'll do either one or both. $150.00 per vent choice. Sound fair?
Kenny asked me about cars with oversized turbo's. Is there anyone involved that needs a little extra room for your turbo? Is it even something to worry about?
With 12k currently at $30-$35 a yard with 3 or 4 layers, plus core, resin and machined hardware, that would be cheaper than the material cost alone. You have to consider time for engineering and building the product plus offsetting the mold cost. This mold will cost me roughly $1500.00. We're...
