Yeah I have the sensor, but setting it to full heat has no effect. Is it possible that the servo isnt getting enough current from the panel to stay open or something? (I know nothing about electronics)
/Facepalm, I should prob have mentioned its a JDM, the slider on the climate control only goes to 30 degrees C, but im guessing that should bypass the sensor too? it doesn't.
So any ideas? as far as I can tell it sounds like the car is randomly closing the mixer door for no reason, or failing to keep it open. Could changing the heater/ac control panel fix this maybe?
If that's the vacuum thing that has the little piston that operates the little leaver to control the flow of coolant into the cabin then that won't be it as ive taken the leaver off the piston so its always flowing to the heater matrix.
No, im not sure exactly what that's supposed to sound like but once its stopped being hot and just blows cold then sliding from left to right makes no noise. Also im *pretty* sure that I hear that noise just before the heat goes off.
When I start the car in the morning the heat comes on fine...
Here's an odd one, once the cars warmed up it blows hot air fine however after a while it will suddenly stop as if the climate control has decided to run cold instead despite the slider being all the way to the red, any ideas? im thinking a fault with the panel that's closing the mixer door or...
Thanks guys, the reason im after one of the adapters is because MA70 stuff is easy to get here so I can easily get my hands on a modified CT26, divorced downpipe, etc. But 1JZ stuff is rarer than rocking horse poo (and as a result selling the twins+piping would cover the cost of the turbo/downpipe)
Does anybody know if any companies make copies of the Driftmotion 1JZ CT26 adapter manifolds? I know they have been discontinued by DM but was wondering if any other companies had filled the void in the market? really need one of these...
Thanks for the info/advice guys, manufacturers 1yr warranty isn't that much of a concern as I would be buying from a reseller over here not ordering from the US, this way I would get the extra warranty/protection from the UK/EU sales laws.
