Well pretty much i get spark when it wants to. I try to fire it up and it just goes and goes and goes and it doesn't fire up. I check it by take off the coil wire one, five and three, none of them fire up. then i try again and i see the actual spark and it fires up and then after a while it cuts...
i think the base model supra (NA) averaged around 200.00 and the rack for the turbo cars around averaged 300.00
what i did when my rack went bad. i drained all the fuild from the rack, right where the two (they look like brake lines) lines are at the center of the rack. i undid them and turn...
i join this website not too long ago...after i put everything back together.
thats is the best thing about this forum...the knowledge from other ppl that been there and done that.
thanks..that is some great info...its pretty hard to find a mechanic that knows a 7m or any other type of supra motor..thats why i took the chance and did most of the work my self so if it blew it would be on me not on a shop. live and learn. btw where in ga do you live cuz i saw a while back a...
well you are wrong. I didn't waste my time with hondas not worth the gas. bald tires, no. brand new. Brakes, also new. And i'm not a kid and i take care of my mom and wife. I'm just another guy trying to have a little fun with my car, turn the wrench to get away from things. just a hobbie i like...
well, yea.. i did just about all the work to the car and was pretty much reading the repair manual book and missed the chapter on breaking in the motor. the spec on it is 20w50 so i figured 15w40 would be too thick but i guess i was wrong...no kinda love...my bad...first motor that i...

as far as breaking in the motor i took it easy the first 700 miles to give the kevar...
I think the lesson here learned and the one i learned is not to trust shops or mechanics that don't have experience with our cars. it's easy to find a domestic bubba but an import, have to look for one, and a supra we have to dig for them. I will never take my car to a mechanic or shop that...
I have no pic. I just had to walk away before i lost all hope and trash the car or sell it. Ill take pic on an oncoming week whe i pull the motor out. I just needed to breath and gather my thoughts.
as far as the bearings i dont know. there are a couple of things i think could have gone...
three years ago i bought my first turbo car(little did i know what a supra can do or yet along what a surpa was) for cheap. It had a leaking turbo and i (with the help of a friend of mine) took the turbo to get rebuild. I installed it that night and took it for a test run. 20psi and did that bad...
