When Jay (suprahero) and I did his interior we used scotchbrite pads to scuff it up. Then we just used a cleaner degreaser to prep, followed by a tach cloth. Then we just had dupont base mixed to the color he wanted and I shot it with my hvlp and we called it a day. Here is a picture...
